The Travelers Tote

The Traveler's Tote pattern by Anything But Boring is great for travel with a pocket for a water bottle, as well as pockets to help keep you organized.  Included is a pattern for a luggage handle and tag.  Finished size is 12 1/2 in. H x 13 in. W x 7 1/2 in. D.  Flap pattern is included.

Materials Needed:

• 1 yd outer fabric (or 3/4 yd if you have no inside pockets)
• 1 yd of lining fabric (or 3/4 if no inside pockets)
• 1/2 yd of accent fabric
• Fusible interfacing - 1 yd (or 3/4 yd if no inside pockets)
• Fusible fleece or batting - 3/4 yd
• Magnetic snap or button for closure
• Optional: 1 yd ric-rac, ribbon, or trim
• REVERSIBLE LUGGAGE HANDLE COVERS: 2 pieces of fabric 5 1/2 in. x 6 1/2 in. (2 fat quarters will make nine, or six plus six luggage tags)
• Equal amount of Decor Bond type interfacing
• 5 in. of Velcro per handle cover
• LUGGAGE TAGS: 2 pieces of fabric 3 1/4 in. x 5 in. of fabric (left from handle covers)
• 3 in. x 5 in. Decor Bond type interfacing
• 12 in. of bolo style cording or additional scraps 1 1/2 in. x 12 in. to make fabric cording
• Heavy clear plastic 4 1/2 in. x 2 1/4 in. (or an old name tag)
