In my garden, in the surrounding fields and throughout my home, I live with flowers. Perennials and annuals bloom in beds edged with brick and stone, and sometimes a few wildflowers find their way from the field to my garden. It is this garden that inspired the floral appliqués, the simple piecing that echoes the edgings, and the soft borders – there isn’t anythingformal about this garden, it’s beauty comes from nature’s simplicity.
