Cutting:
Piecing -
Use pieces A and B and create 16 HST
Add C and D in the layout below and sew your pieces together. You will make 4 of these corner blocks.
Take 2 of your corner blocks and piece E and piece them together so you have two sets like the image below.
To make your center strip take pieces F, D, and G and piece them together as shown.
Piece your rows together to make your whole block.
U.S.A Map Quilt
I already have all my states traced and cut out so all I have to do is place them as we go along.
Starting with Washington I placed my first state on my U.S.A. map quilt. I know, not super exciting at this point, but it will fill in and be really neat looking. I'm positive it will.
Once I have enough states on I will start sewing them down. I don't want to overlap my zig zags as I sew these on so I am going to try and sew them in a way that I do entire states as I go, but also get as much done at one time as possible.
