This week we are adding South Carolina.
South Carolina's quilting community is influenced by the state's Gullah culture, with quilts often featuring bold patterns and vibrant colors.
I actually really like this block. It is simple but not boring and that makes me happy. I love an easy to put together block.
Cutting
Piecing
Using A and B create 4 - 4 patch squares.
Using the remaining squares make a 9 patch for the center of your block.
Sew together C and D to make 4 rectangles.
Sew two to the sides of your 9 patch, switching them so that D is on top on one and on the bottom on the other side.
Sew one between two 4 patches with D on the right and then with the other two with D on the left.
You should have a line up like this.
Sew your rows together to complete your block.

Not going to lie, I am glad we are getting close to the end of this project. I'm anxious to see it completed.
