In Pennsylvania Amish quilts out of Lancaster County and the Esprit Amish Quilt Collection shaped modern quilting aesthetics.
I am not a huge fan of this block. It is simple and I can appreciate it, but it just isn't one that speaks to me. What are your thoughts on it?
Cutting
Piecing
Using pieces A and B, split your number of each piece in half, create two rows alternating colors.
Take piece C and sew to the top and bottom of these two pieces you have made.
Take piece D and sew to the inside of both of your pieces.
Sew piece F on both sides of piece E to make the very center of your block.
Using your assorted piece G sew three together on top of your center block and three together on the bottom of your block to create your middle column.
Sew all three pieces together to complete your block.
U.S.A. Map Quilt
Pennsylvania isn't an area that overly interests me. There are beautiful houses there, but it isn't an area we would think about moving to.
Since we are on the last top corner of our map quilt I am trying to get you pictures focused in so you can see what I am doing. Some of the states up here are teeny tiny.
