The barn quilt trail movement began in Adams County, OH in 2001, by Donna Sue Groves. It is now a nationwide movement.
This block reminds me of Minecraft. My son loves playing Minecraft and this reminds of what he is doing on it.
Cutting
Piecing
Using pieces A and B create a 4 patch block. Make 4 of these 4 patch blocks.
Using C, D, E, and F to create the following blocks.
Place G in the middle of your block. To create your middle row use 2 piece H and 2 of your 4-patches along with G to create the row.
Place the remaining H pieces between your 9 patch corner blocks to create your top and bottom row.
Sew your rows together to complete your block.

I'm still not completely sold on the super dark fabric on the dark background, but its too late to change anything so I will have to go with it. I still think this is turning out amazing.
